
Driven by astrological themes, the branding & art direction for Dead Universe is inspired by the founder's roots in digital art and the 'momento mori' concept.







The brainchild of graphic artist Sheezycitie, Dead Universe is an indie entertainment brand committed to sharing comics, comic-related fashion, and music. The artist had numerous encounters with his own mortality, soon realizing that all of his unexplored ideas could disappear with him. Thus new understanding lit a unique fire of inspiration within him to create again. His inspiration for Dead Universe? He says, “One day I’ll die…the least I can do is follow my heart and create a world of my own in the meantime. Everyone should do that.” As a result, I was tasked with crafting a brand that echoed his newfound philosophy about life—create the world you want, you’ll die anyway.
